Books for Readers

Here are our treasured books! They have been heavily culled over through dozens of readings through myself and multiple children, trying out different editions until we found our favorites. With the exception of A Girl of the Limberlost and Animal!, we have read all of these books as read alouds at least once. The morning I first brought up the idea of starting this website to our children, my eleven-year-old daughter immediately picked up her notebook and started writing down the names of the books on our second up shelf. She handed me the complete list before the morning was over. I told her that just looking at these books brought her joy. She rejoiced at that statement and told me that that is why she was so excited to write the books down, so she could help share the joy of these books with others. She also painstakingly typed up the complete list. These are just a few. We are working to get the rest of the list into a format we can share with you.
