Hello, I’m Amanda, mother of seven and educational designer specializing in intentional home learning. I invite invested families to discover how to cultivate their homes into spaces where learning thrives.
Before I became a mother, I designed sophisticated learning experiences for universities, grounding my work in rigorous, proven methodologies of instruction—including research on the ‘First Principles of Instruction.’ I felt a deep, enduring curiosity about the core truths that make learning effective in every environment. When children came along, I saw our home as the ultimate design challenge, carrying that curiosity and rigor into our most important setting.
Our family’s demanding lifestyle—spanning sixteen moves from Alaska to Florida and numerous deployments—compelled us to refine the rhythm and design of our home. Most recently, our years in Stuttgart, Germany, have infused our approach with a rich heritage of European culture and intentionality. As we repatriate to the United States, we are sharing how professional design rigor fosters stability and invites academic abundance in every circumstance—no matter where home happens to be.
